London Areas starting with E

Ealing - W5

Lively village atmosphere, wide selection of housing stock, plenty of open spaces / parks. Good range of shops, bars and restaurants

Ealing Broadway - W5

Earls Court - SW5

Lively place with good atmosphere, plenty of bars, clubs, restaurants. Convenient for most of London. Nearest park: Holland Park

Earlsfield - SW18

Earlsfield is not quite as established as Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth but has some attractive streets of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, as well as owner-occupied council properties and purpose-built maisonettes. The slightly lower prices have proved attractive to families, young professionals and first time buyers, and the market has seen quite alot of movement as people searching for affordable homes are priced out of more sought-after and expensive parts of the borough. Properties close to the station and green spaces are the most desirable and generally attract a premium. Earslfield looks to Wandsworth for most amenities-green spaces, shops, pubs, restaurants and leisure facilities. Earlsfield station has trains to Waterloo.

East Barnet - EN4

East Dulwich - SE22

East Finchley - N2

Elephant and Castle - SE17

The regeneration of Elephant and Castle has been talked about for years, but never before have the plans and proposals reached this advanced stage. The regeneration of Elephant and Castle is happening. Southwark Council has now agreed the master plan to create a vibrant new London quarter and is ready to turn this long-awaited proposal into reality. The £1.5 billion, 170-acre regeneration will bring vast benefits for the local community and for the people of London. It will unlock 5,200 new and replacement homes, four new open and green spaces, two tram routes, a market square, landmark buildings, a city academy for Southwark and a civic heart for south central London. There will be 75,000 m2 of new retail space which will create opportunities for existing and new businesses and will also bring 5,200 new jobs to Elephant and Castle.

Elmers End - SE25

Elmers End high street surrounds a large green that acts as a busy junction for most of the area's roads into Croydon, Beckenham or London. The parade provides a busy collection of pubs, convenience shops and fast food outlets. Flats and modern purpose built apartment blocks can be found close by to both the railway station and large Tesco's supermarket on the west side of the busy Croydon Lane. Housing on the surrounding streets is predominantly post 1930's semis and terraces, although these become larger as you move closer to Beckenham and its leafy, tree lined Victorian roads.

Eltham - SE9

Pleasant suburb, good sized houses with gardens. Good road access to Southeast and M25 orbital motorway

Enfield - EN1 to EN5

Northern suburb, large houses - many with gardens. Good access to M1 and North

Ewell - KT17

Ewell was heavily hit by the suburban expansions from the 30's onward, with swathes of land given up for residential developments. Whilst Ewell Village centre retains older, more exclusive properties, along the borders of the Green and Vicarage especially, most of the town's housing, in East and West Ewell, is family orientated 30's and 40's build, with a spread of modern estates that link into Epsom.
