History of the area
Willesden was something of a rural settlement until the latter half of the 1800s when the Metropolitan Railway station of Willesden Green opened in 1879.

It entered a period of decline in the 70s and 80s due to overcrowding, but in recent decades there has been a shift in demographic and Willesden is now a vibrant area popular with both young couples and families.
