Letting Agents in Seven Sisters London N15
Area Feature
Seven Sisters is a reasonably quiet area of London, found within the borough of Haringey. The borough in which it is set is well known for its green spaces - which were recently commended in the Green Flag awards - and Alexandra Palace. Seven Sisters is set in an ethnically diverse area - it is estimated that around 193 languages are spoken within the borough as whole - which is reflected in the wide variety of shops and eateries that are present.
Seven Sisters is in northern London, lying right between the inner and outer areas of the city. Being in Haringey, Seven Sisters residents have access to a number of parks and historical places of interest, as well as a very reasonable market.
Living Costs
Perhaps the most important aspect of Seven Sisters for those considering a move to the area is the cost of living. Whilst the buying cost of houses has risen since the Tube station was built, rental prices have remained quite reasonable. For those working in other areas of the city, Seven Sisters is a great place to live as the Victoria line offers fast transportation to other places in London.
Whilst it might be tempting for people to look at properties directly along Seven Sisters road and so be close to a variety of lively shops and restaurants, this road sees a lot of heavy traffic and can be quite noisy. It is also not a recommended route for those that wish to drive to work or catch the bus, as you can get stuck in rush hour traffic - the Tube is the much more reliable alternative.
Shopping
No one is claiming that Seven Sisters is a London retail mecca, but it does offer some interesting shops; both in and outside of the indoor market. Seven Sisters road comes complete with a number of smaller shops that offer the basics for shoppers. There isn't really a 'high street' in the area; instead there is the indoor market.
The market is located right near the Tube and can be hard to miss if you don't know its there. It is a lively place with around 50 stalls selling a diverse range of products, from food to beauty products to media items. There really is almost something for everyone. The market is always busy and offers a real sense of community. It is also an incredibly diverse place to shop, with stall holders originating from Peru, Brazil and Columbia. There are also a number of cafes selling Latin food and good, strong coffee.
Food
Nowhere in Seven Sisters is the amazing mix of cultures represented better than in the variety of restaurants and takeaways. This is a bit of a foodies' hidden paradise and has a number of small but amazing eateries that are a must visit. Although some of the restaurants may not look like much, they serve up a delicious menu at very reasonable prices; allowing residents to taste dishes from around the world just by stepping out their front door.
